Join us for the 2025 McHenry County Patriot Run at Veteran Acres! 

This looped course offers a 5k or a 10k trail run option. There is also a 1 mile walk offered for those that would like to enjoy the beautiful scenery Veteran Acres has to offer. 

Proceeds from this event benefit Veterans Path to Hope and Blue Star Banners of Crystal Lake.

Since 1996, Veterans Path to Hope has supported active and retired military veterans (regardless of their discharge status) & their families in northeastern Illinois & southeastern Wisconsin through programs to assist with housing, employment, peer & clinical counseling services, weekly dinners, & much more. Over 70% of our staff are veterans themselves, & many have used our programs to successfully reintegrate after serving our country. The majority of our non-veteran staff have one or more family members who have served, & all our staff and volunteers are deeply invested in using their skills & talents to benefit our local veterans.

The City of Crystal Lake and the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce implemented the Blue Star Banner Program to honor the local men and women in our community as well as City of Crystal Lake government employees actively serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, proudly displaying Blue Star banners along Heroes Row on Route 14.
