Cardboard Boat Race

Description

Come join us for Cardboard Boat Races at Lakefront Park. Races will begin at 12 p.m. Test out your craftsmanship and build a cardboard boat to race against others. This will be a fun event for people of all ages whether they are sailing their vessel or cheering on from the shoreline. Registration fee is $15 which includes entry into the boat race, trophies for 1st & 2nd Fastest, and Best of Show, and Fastest Sinking! Additionally, there is a $30 registration that includes the standard registration as well as a boat-building kit. The boat-building kit includes 1 roll of duct tape, a box cutter, and 4 x 8 ft. of cardboard to use for your boat. Competing age groups: 11 & under; 12 to 18; 19 & over.
