About Us

Since 1996, Veterans Path to Hope has supported active and retired military veterans (regardless of their discharge status) & their families in northeastern Illinois & southeastern Wisconsin through programs to assist with housing, employment, peer & clinical counseling services, weekly dinners, & much more.

• New Horizons, our 20-unit transitional living building in Hebron, IL, has provided homeless veterans temporary housing & support in finding a job, securing employment, and reconnecting with their fellow veterans, their community, & their families since 2001.

• Our drop-in center in Crystal Lake is home to our food pantry (available to any veteran & their family), peer support groups & clinical counseling services for veterans, family members, & caregivers, as well as our Outdoors program & VCAT (Veterans Community Action Team), which provides & delivers furniture & housewares to veterans who have secured permanent housing.

• Over 70% of our staff are veterans themselves, & many have used our programs to successfully reintegrate after serving our country. The majority of our non-veteran staff have one or more family members who have served, & all our staff and volunteers are deeply invested in using their skills & talents to benefit our local veterans.
